National Youth Leader Training (7 days)
A seven-day outdoor training conference for youth leaders in support of the Scoutmaster's responsibility for training his youth leaders. It is conducted by the council leadership training committee using a syllabus that is developed by the Boy Scouts of America.  The conference has three aims:
  • To give each participant a varied experience in the Scoutcraft skills that can be shared with his troop or patrol.
  • To relate the eleven skills of leadership to his troop or patrol job
  • To give participants a chance to relate and exchange ideas and experiences with youth leaders from other troops.

Den Chief Training (1 day)
A staff of enthusiastic older Scouts and Adults pool their skills to bring you the Den Chief training course. This is just what you will need to qualify for the Den Chief Award and to make working with Cubs easier and even more enjoyable. Den Chief Service also qualifies for Eagle Leadership requirements. You will leave this training with ideas for skits, songs, games & tricks to thrill the Cub Scouts. You will also learn how to work with your adult Den Leaders. The course assists the prospective Den Chief to:  
  • Be Prepared to work with the den leader
  • Be Prepared to teach and work with Cub Scouts
  • Be Prepared to be an example and open minded to young Cub Scouts.

Cost for the course covers materials, including lunch and the Den Chief handbook. You must register in advance for this course.
